Uniformity is Built into Every Shipment
Verso Corporation produces virgin Hardwood Kraft and Recycled market pulp products.
Northern Bleached Hardwood Kraft (NBHK) Pulp
The Quinnesec, Michigan mill produces a high quality Northern Bleached Hardwood Kraft (NBHK) pulp with an 80% Maple fiber content. A large portion of this production is used by the Quinnesec Mill in the manufacture of coated freesheet paper grades. All remaining production is sold as Quinnesec® Hi-Maple Northern Hardwood Pulp.
Quinnesec® Hi-Maple Northern Hardwood Pulp
This fiber's excellent formation, smoothness, opacity and cleanliness are ideally suited for the most demanding printing and writing grades, while its unique morphological characteristics make this pulp suitable for many specialty and technical grades. Additionally, tissue manufacturers value our pulp for its special contribution to softness. The fiber is easy to refine and performs well when refined independently or in combination with softwoods.
Recycled Pulp
The Duluth, Minnesota mill produces Recycled market pulp. A portion of this capacity is integrated into the production of supercalendered papers at the Duluth Mill and is transferred internally to other mills within the Verso system. The following grades are produced for the market:
Superior HQ®/Superior HQ® FDA Deinked Pulp
Superior® Tissue-Grade Deinked Pulp
Superior® MPR Deinked Pulp
Our recycled pulp products are produced from regionally-sourced pre- and post-consumer waste streams that are processed in a state of the art fiber recycling facility into three different grades tailored to a variety of end-use applications.
